We’ll stop in Viviers for our included excursion of a guided walking tour through the uncrowded streets, past the cathedral, and up to the viewpoint overlooking the Rhône—it’s hard to believe somewhere so peaceful still exists!

But the beauty of Provence isn’t just in its villages. This afternoon, we’ll head to a working olive orchard on our optional excursion where rows of gnarled trees stretch toward the horizon. Learn how the region’s prized olive oil is made, then enjoy a tasting right at the source. Fresh, fragrant, and rich—the flavors of Provence in every drop. 

Some days change history. Today, we walk the sands where the world held its breath.

Join a full-day included journey to the D-Day landing beaches, where 170,000 Allied soldiers stormed the shores in a sweeping act of bravery. Stand on Omaha Beach where history was made. Peer over the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc. Reflect among the rows of white crosses at the American Cemetery. Visit the Caen Memorial Museum, often called the "Museum for Peace," where powerful exhibits and personal stories bring the events of June 6, 1944 to life. This is one of the most moving experiences of my life. There's something about being in the exact spots where these incredible acts of courage happened that puts everything in perspective.

You’ll rejoin the ship in Caudebec-en-Caux, a serene town with a soaring 15th-century Gothic church that seems to touch the sky—its peacefulness a poignant contrast to the solemn sites of the day. We'll also stop in the beautiful town of Bayeux. 

 Sail into Caudebec and visit Fécamp, a seaside resort home to the legendary Bénédictine liqueur for our optional excursion. Tour the lavish palace built by Alexandre Le Grand to house the ancient recipe and have a cocktail class, marvel at Renaissance masterpieces, and enjoy a warming sip of this herbal spirit. 

This morning the ship winds through a storybook stretch of river. Tucked into a dramatic bend is Les Andelys, a postcard-perfect village hugged by chalk cliffs and crowned by a medieval fortress. You'll get to see it from the ship and from above!

 On our included excursion, we'll walk through the quaint town of half-timbered homes and then climb to the hilltop Château Gaillard for epic views. Built by Richard the Lionheart in a show of defiance and dominance nearly 1,000 years ago. The views? Straight out of legend. This is a true fairy tale castle overlooking the river.

Visit Château de La Roche-Guyon for our optional excursion, seamlessly built into the cliffside, where secrets, art, and elegance await. This isn't your typical castle—it's literally carved into the chalk cliffs, with underground passages connecting the medieval fortress to the elegant 18th-century mansion below.

Back on board, we'll enjoy some SCENIC sailing through the winding Seine while our sommelier leads a wine tasting featuring the finest French wines. Let your palate explore as your heart soars.

We return to where it all began, magical Paris! 

Step into the whimsical hilltop village of Montmartre for our included excursion. Picture this: winding cobblestone streets where Picasso and Renoir once lived, the gleaming white domes of Sacré-Cœur rising above it all, and yes—artists really do still paint portraits in the squares! We'll wind past hidden staircases and the last remaining windmill in Paris, peek into secret courtyards, and at the bottom of the hill? The legendary Moulin Rouge, where cabaret was born and bohemian Paris still sparkles every night. This is the neighborhood that inspired countless masterpieces, and honestly, you'll see why the moment you arrive.

Embark on a guided food tour of Paris for our optional excursion! Follow your nose to flaky croissants, cheese shops where the fromager will pick the perfect Camembert just for you, pastries so beautiful they belong in museums, and charcuterie that melts on your tongue.
